The frame rate (fps) for a typical TV is 60 frames per second or 60Hz. This means that the TV displays 60 still images per second. Because the images appear so rapidly in Samsung plasma TV, our brains perceive the images as a moving picture.
With 600Hz Subfield Motion, the pixels that make up the picture on the screen flash 10 times for every one image shown. That’s 600 times per second or 600Hz. Because the pixels are flashing faster, the final images you see appear smoother.
