DVM S achieves high energy efficiency through the use of a Dual Inverter Compressor with a Vapor Injection System. This compressor provides powerful, rapid cooling and heating with minimum energy consumption. Using these units helps save energy and the environment. In addition, the units help reduce toxic substances through use of R-410A, a more eco-friendly refrigerant. Toxic substances reduced include mercury, lead and cadmium. With this eco-friendly technology, DVM S has attained Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) certification. Samsung Free Joint Multi (FJM) and Ceiling Air Conditioner (CAC) models consume less power than other brands. These models have passed the energy requirements enforced by the EU as of January, 2013. Each product has achieved an “A” grade, and some satisfy the stricter regulations set to start in 2014.
Achieve high energy efficiency with the DSI system
DSI is a third-generation system that uses a Dual Inverter Compressor. The compressor upgrades refrigerant flow and the motor’s operating performance. With this system, DSI achieves high energy efficiency. The two compressors operate in unison so that overall compressor durability is preserved for a longer time. With compressor speed acceleration and simultaneous starting, DVM S provides rapid cooling and heating performance. In addition, DVM S promotes stable, equal oil balancing without the need for an additional balancing pipe.
Reduce expenses with installation designed to be easy and flexible
At 22 horsepower (HP), the large-unit capacity of the DVM S facilitates economical installation with a smaller footprint and lighter weight. Non-polar communication between indoor and outdoor units promotes easier wiring work. Non-polar communication is safer because the outdoor unit protects itself if the communication cable is mistakenly connected to a power terminal. The DVM S provides extended piping length of up to 220 m (721.79 ft), with no decrease in performance. With this technology, installation is available for a maximum height of 110 m (360.89 ft), the equivalent of 20 stories. The piping distance is far between outdoor and indoor units, so individual indoor units perform capacity connection control and automatic refrigerant equalization. This process promotes balanced performance between the units.
Discover and fix problems readily with Auto Commissioning Management (ACM)
DVM S has a smart management system that facilitates self-diagnosis, auto commissioning, auto management and mobile data transmission. DVM S monitors the operation status and displays an error code in response to signs of abnormal operation, enabling users to readily address the problem. If a malfunction occurs with the DVM S outdoor unit, the last 30 minutes of operating data are stored for automatic backup. Small openings on the front of the outdoor unit promote straightforward unit status checking and option setting. With S-Checker, users can control the system with a smartphone or tablet PC, so management is simplified and convenient. ACM promotes reduced commissioning time for DVM S, at just 50 minutes. Testing results are automatically stored and reported.
