Terms and Conditions


Campaign Period
1.     The Campaign is valid from 10:00a.m. on 1 May to 11:59p.m. on 31 July 2019 (“Campaign Period”).


Offer 1: Up to RM35 Monthly Cash Back (“Offer 1”)
2.     Offer 1 is open to all new and existing principal and supplementary PB Visa Credit Card/-i and PB Petron Visa Debit Cardmembers (“Eligible Visa Cardmember”).
3.     The following person are excluded from participating in Offer 1:
            3.1 Cards that are not supported in Samsung Pay as follows:
             - PB Visa Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB Mastercard Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB UnionPay Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB Visa Debit Card (previously known as PB Visa Electron Debit Card);
            3.2 All PB Mastercard Credit Card/-i and Mastercard Debit Card; and
            3.3 Visa Cardmembers whose accounts have been suspended, cancelled or terminated during Campaign Period.
4.     Eligible Visa Cardmember must perform a one-time SMS registration during Campaign Period using SMS keyword PBGM to participate in Offer 1.

5.     Eligible Visa Cardmember is responsible to ensure that the SMS details are complete, accurate and sent during the Campaign Period. Proof of SMS sent does not constitute a confirmation of receipt by the Bank.
6.     Eligible Visa Cardmember who successfully registers for Offer 1 will receive an SMS confirmation from the Bank. A standard normal Telco Operator charges apply for each SMS registration and shall be fully borned by the Eligible Visa Cardmember.

7.     The Bank will not be held responsible and reserves the absolute discretion to disqualify any registration from duplicate entries, incomplete/inaccurate SMS, late entries, error message, unsuccessful registration due to network failure and/ or interruption experienced by a Telco Operator or for any reason whatsoever as the Bank may in its absolute discretion deem fit.
8.     In the event the SMS is incomplete/invalid, an outgoing SMS will be sent to the Eligible Visa Cardmember, at no cost, to inform him to re-register via SMS.
9.     If the date and time of a successful SMS registration or transaction date and time captured in the Bank’s system differs or a dispute arises as to when the registration took place, the Bank’s system date and time shall prevail.
10.     After the successful SMS registration, the Eligible Visa Cardmember is required to perform a minimum of RM30 per Samsung Pay transaction using his/her PB Visa Credit Card/-i and Visa Debit Card (“Eligible Transactions”).
11.     The following example illustrates Offer 1 mechanics:

12.     The total Eligible Transactions for Eligible Visa Cardmembers with multiple PB Visa Cards will be added up.
13.     The Eligible Transactions for principal Visa Cardmembers and supplementary Visa Cardmembers will not be added up.
14.     Cash back is capped at RM35 per principal/supplementary Eligible Visa Cardmember per month.
15.     Maximum cash back payout per month is RM15,000.
16.     Cash back is based on first-come, first-served basis.
17.     The Bank’s records of the transactions will be final and conclusive.


Offer 2: 800 Samsung Rewards Points (“Offer 2”)
18.    Offer 2 is open to all new and existing principal and supplementary PB Credit Card/-i and Debit Cardmembers (“Eligible Cardmember”).
19.    The following person are excluded from participating in Offer 2:
            19.1 Cards that are not supported in Samsung Pay as follows:
             - PB Visa Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB Mastercard Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB UnionPay Lifestyle Debit Card
             - PB Visa Debit Card (previously known as PB Visa Electron Debit Card)
             - PB RCB Mastercard Premier Debit Cards; and
            19.2 Cardmembers whose accounts have been suspended, cancelled or terminated during Campaign Period.
20.   Eligible Cardmember must join the relevant promotion in Samsung Pay mobile application in order to participate and be eligible for Offer 2 (“Qualifying Criteria”).

21.    Eligible Cardmember will receive 800 Samsung Rewards Points when he/she performs 15 Samsung Pay transactions, no minimum spend, with eligible PB Card during the month.

22.    The following example illustrates the Offer 2 mechanics:

23.   Total Samsung Rewards Points to be given out is up to 200,000 Points per month.


General Terms and Conditions
24.   The Bank reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add on to these Terms and Conditions from time to time with at least twenty one (21) calendar days prior notice which notice of such change, amendment, deletion or addition shall be published on the Bank's website www.pbebank.com.
25.   By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Visa Cardmember and Eligible Cardmember:
                a) shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions stated herein. The decision of the Bank shall be final, binding and conclusive. No correspondence, disputes and appeals will be entertained;
                b) agrees and consents that information regarding him/her can be processed, collected, used and stored by the Bank for the purpose of this Campaign;
                c) agrees that the decision of the Bank will be final, binding and conclusive and that no appeal, correspondence, queries or protests will be entertained; and
                d) agrees and consents that the Bank, as the case may be, may use his/her registered contact number for marketing purposes within the Bank.
26.   The Bank reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by the Bank of the Campaign shall not entitle the Eligible Visa Cardmember and Eligible Cardmember to any claim or compensation against the Bank for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by the Eligible Visa Cardmember and Eligible Cardmember as a direct and indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.

27.   The Bank shall not be liable, whether direct or consequential, for any loss and damage or whatsoever suffered by the Eligible Visa Cardmember and Eligible Cardmember caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from his/her participation in the Campaign as a result of any act or omission on the part of the Bank.
28.   The Terms and Conditions herein are in addition to and without prejudice to the Terms and Conditions stated in the Cardmember Agreement applicable to the Eligible Visa Cardmember’s and Eligible Cardmember’s Card Account. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the said Agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in so far as they apply to the “Enjoy Cash Back & Additional Samsung Rewards Points Every Month with Samsung Pay”.
29.   In the event of a conflict, discrepancy or variance in the terms and conditions in the English Language version and Bahasa Malaysia version, the terms and conditions of the English Language version shall prevail.
