Last Update date : May 10. 2023

There are several reasons why your refrigerator Samsung is not cooling. Some problem you can fixed yourself, while others may require technician to diagnose and repair.

This list will provide 8 common reasons why your Samsung fridge is not cooling that doesn’t require any technician support.

1 Appliance is not plugged in properly

If the appliance is not plug properly, remove the plug from the socket and then re-insert it.

If the plug is properly inserted, remove the plug and try plugging another item into the same socket. If the newly plugged in item does not work, try resetting the circuit breaker for that outlet.
2 Door are closed properly

Check to make sure that the door is closed properly. Not doing so will cause cold air to leak out.
3 Door seal are clean

Check to make sure the door seals are not torn, weathered, or dirty. Dirty seals can cause gaps large enough to let in warm air, which affects cooling. If you notice dirty seals or frost build up around the gasket, clean them immediately and allow your refrigerator up to 24 hours to regain proper temperature.

If the seals are damaged, service will be required.

6 Enough space from the wall

7 Food are packed too tight

Your refrigerator needs air flow! If you have too much food stuffed in the refrigerator or freezer, you may be blocking an air vent, which will cause your refrigerator to not cool as well as it should. Check that your air vents aren’t obstructed by food.

8 Check if it is in demo mode

If the Refrigerator is plugged in and powered on but it is still not cold enough, you may have accidentally placed it or left it in Demo Mode.

If it is in Demo Mode, the display will read OF-OF, which will disable the compressor in order to save electricity when the Refrigerator is on the showroom floor.

Turning off Demo Mode is easy and varies by Refrigerator model display type. Generally speaking, each model may require a different combination of display buttons. For example, some Models will require pressing the ENERGY SAVER and POWER FREEZE / FREEZER buttons for 3 seconds to cancel this mode. You will hear a chime.

If your model is not showcase below, refer to your manual section on Demo Mode or Cooling Off to learn about your specific Refrigerator type.
