[Gear VR] How do I install the software?

When you connect your phone to the Gear VR for the first time, the software installation will start automatically.


Follow the below steps to begin installing the software:

1. Check that your device is not on silent mode, then connect your device to the Gear VR.



2. Wait until you hear the voice prompting you to remove your device from the Gear VR.



 3. The software installation will begin. Tap Next, when prompted.




4. Read and agree to the health and safety warnings, and the terms and conditions in the End User Licence Agreement (EULA). Tap Next.




5. The default apps will now be installed.




6. Choose your language and tap Continue. (Note: the language can be changed later)



7. Tap Continue.



8. Tap Create Account and follow the on-screen instructions to create an Oculus account.
If you already have an Oculus account, tap Sign In.



9. If you would like to install additional VR apps, tap Install Apps




10. When the software is installed, the Oculus Store app will appear on the Apps screen of the mobile device.
