How do I Uninstall or Disable an Application from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

Uninstall and Disable Applications

You can use the Task manager application to uninstall Android™ applications and widgets you have downloaded on your device. To open the Task manager application quickly, press and hold Home for one to two seconds, and then touch Task manager Task Manager Icon .

Touch the Downloaded tab and scroll to the application you wish to uninstall. Touch the Uninstall button next to the application’s name, review the information page, and then touch OK.

You can also uninstall the application from the Apps menu. Touch Apps Apps Icon and then touch and hold the app you want to uninstall. Drag the icon to the Uninstall Uninstall Icon icon at the top of the screen. Touch OK on the confirmation window.

 

Uninstall Using the App Manager

From the Home screen, touch Menu Menu Key > Settings Settings Icon > General Settings More Tab Icon > Application manager App Manager Icon . If necessary, swipe to the DOWNLOADED tab. Touch the application in the list. Touch Uninstall > OK. Applications preloaded on your device cannot be uninstalled, but you can uninstall any updates you have applied by touching Uninstall updates > OK.

 

Disabling Apps

You can disable select preloaded (or system) apps on your device. Once disabled, the app will be hidden and will no longer be accessible until it is removed from the disabled list in the Application manager App Manager Icon .

From the Home screen, touch Apps Apps Icon > Menu Menu Key > Uninstall/disable appsSettings Icon. The Settings Icon icon indicates the app can be disabled. Touch Settings Icon and then touch OK to turn off the app.

Note: Apps that were downloaded will also be marked with the Settings Icon icon. These apps can be uninstalled but cannot be disabled.

 

Enable Apps

From the Home screen, touch Menu Menu Key > Settings Settings Icon > General Settings More Tab Icon > Application manager App Manager Icon . Swipe to the TURNED OFF tab at the top. Any apps that were disabled will be listed. Touch the app name and then touch Turn On to enable the app.

Note: If updates have been applied to any app(s), it will require you to reset the app to factory defaults before it can be turned on again. You will then need to apply any updates via the Google Play™ Store.
