Sedition’s Choice from the Art Store: FIELD
London art studio FIELD brings expertise in the latest technologies for visual communications and design into their creative practice. They take a multidisciplinary approach, exploring color, light, and interaction in their work, including projects with global brands that have commissioned them to create works of art and generative design solutions.
FIELD’s artwork on The Frame consists of a selection from different bodies of work including photographs exploring the luminosity of the neon signs in the Hong Kong night markets, and abstract digital experiments with color, textures, and light in Aurorae and Sensorial. All of their images are born of movement, capturing the dynamic energy of life and nature. Using the power of code and generative strategies, they strive to make art as alive as the world around us.
Their work has been displayed in cultural institutions and galleries internationally, including The Hospital Club, London; La Gaîté Lyrique, Paris; Tekniska Museet, Stockholm; The China Museum for Digital Art, Beijing; and The British Library, London. They have also presented in festivals including the London Design Festival, Ars Electronica, and onedotzero.
FIELD is a digital art studio based in London working across moving images, interactive experiences, and screen-based and kinetic installations. Through their work they explore color, life, and infinity using new technologies and a research-led approach.
