If your mobile is not charging properly, check the following:

Are you using an original Samsung charger?

YesClick to Expand

Test the mobile by using another compatible Samsung charger and cable.
If the mobile starts charging with the alternative charger and cable, there could be a problem with the original charger.
You have the option to get a new Samsung charger or have the unit booked for service.

We highly advise to use the original product charger to avoid any issues.
However, if you are using a different charger, please ensure that it is compatible with the mobile. Otherwise this can cause it to not efficiently charge your device.

Note: If this does not solve your issue or you do not have an original Samsung charger and/or cable, Please contact our Samsung Customer Care on 0800 726 786 to source a replacement.

Do you have a spare Samsung battery of the same model?

YesClick to Expand

Insert the spare battery into the device and plug it in to charge.
If the mobile charges with another Samsung battery, the battery needs to be checked further.
If the mobile still did not charge with another Samsung battery it will also need to be checked further and it will require a service.

The mobile charging port may need to be checked further. If you do not have a spare battery OR the mobile’s battery can’t be removed please contact our Samsung Customer care team on 0800 726 786

Note: This will not apply to non-removable battery series of the Samsung Smartphones. If you need a new battery, please contact our Samsung Customer Care team on 0800 726 786

Important reminders:

- Ensure that the charger is connected properly.

- If the battery terminals are dirty, the battery may not charge properly or the device may turn off. Wipe both the gold-coloured contacts and try charging the battery again.

- The batteries in some devices are not user-replaceable.
