Delete file from my phone's internal memory

The steps below will help you figure out how to delete media files from your mobile's phone memory.

 

Note: Media files like Photos, Videos, Music/Recordings and document/downloaded files can be deleted using the above steps. It would be best to ensure that you are deleting files that you no longer need.

 

For Android 6.0 follow the steps below:

1 Open Settings on your device
2 Scroll down and select Storage

3 Tap Internal Storage (If you don't have an SD card installed on your phone proceed to step 4)

4 Tap Explore
5 Select the folder where the files you want to delete are located. Tap More in the top right hand corner.
6 Tap on Edit. Select the files you want to delete.
7 Select Delete Then tap delete to confirm.

For Android 9.0 follow the steps belowClick to Expand
1 Open Settings on your device.
2 Scroll down and Select Device Care
3 Select Storage
4 Select the folder where the files you want to delete are located.
5 Select the files you want to delete.
6 Select Delete . Then tap delete to confirm.
