How to use Google Voice Typing

Note: A Wi-Fi or Internet connection is required. 

1 Tap Messaging from the Home screen, then tap the New Message icon.
2 Tap on the recipient field to enter a name or contact number, whom the message will be sent to.
3 Tap on the Enter Message field, and slide down the notification panel. Tap Select Input Method then tap Google Voice Typing.
4 Begin to dictate at the recording/listening prompt (microphone symbol). Google Voice Typing displays the appropriate text in the message field as you speak. If you want to add punctuations while using the Speech to Text feature, simply say the punctuation you want to include (i.e. period, question mark and exclamation point).
5 Tap Done to close the prompt. Review first your message, than tap Send to confirm.
