SD Card not recognised

If SD Card is not recognised, a message that SD card is removed appears on top of the screen. This can be due to a damaged SD Card.

 

In the event that the SD card is not detected by the mobile, you may do the following options:

 

1. Check if there is a message stating that SD card is not recognised.

 

If YES, connect the SD card to PC and check if it is recognised. Make sure to power off the mobile first before removing the SD card from it. If you want to remove SD card with the power on, unmount SD card first.

 

If NO, clean and re-install the SD card. Sometimes, the SD card cannot be properly recognised due to foreign substance on the terminal. Make sure to power off the mobile first before removing the SD card from it. If you want to remove SD card with the power on, unmount SD card first.

 

2. After connecting the SD card to PC and SD card is recognised in PC, reset the SD card using the PC. Ensure to back up the data saved in the SD card first. Once SD is reset in PC, put it back in the mobile and check if it will be recognised.

 

On the other hand, if SD card is not recognised in the PC, SD is therefore confirmed not recognised on both mobile and PC. The SD card may be faulty and need to be replaced.

 

3. After resetting the SD card using the PC and SD card is still not recognised, try to use a known working SD card on the mobile and check if it is working fine. Then observe the following:

 

■ If the other SD Card is recognised, the original SD card is defective.

■ If SD Card is still not recognised, there is a problem with the mobile. The unit requires service.
