What to do if A3 sometimes drops outgoing or incoming call?

The problem you are experiencing with your Samsung mobile phone may be related to poor signal or network coverage. The following is a list of possible solutions. 

●  Move from your current location to another, preferably to an open space outside. The problems you are having with your mobile phone may be caused by poor signal coverage. Weak or no signal connection is indicated by the antenna bar on your screen.

●  Switch your phone off and on to enable the device to reconnect to the Operator Network to re-establish connection and possible obtain a better signal. 

●  Select your network manually. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: From the home screen tap Apps

Step 2: Then tap Settings

Step 3: Tap  on More networks





Step 4: Tap Mobile networks

Step 5: Tap Network operators. Wait until the list of the operators is displayed so that you can select an operator, then select your Operator.





●  Most current mobile phones support multiple frequencies that are used for communication. If your device still receives low or no signal, you can access the Network Mode settings and choose to use “3G (WCDMA) and 2G (GSM)” or “2G mode only” for those occasions when, if the LTE/4G signal is poor, you want the signal to use these networks by default.

To change the Network Mode Settings follow the steps below:

Step 1: From the home screen, tap Apps

Step 2: Tap Settings

Step 3: Tap More networks

Step 4: Tap Mobile networks

Step 5: Then tap on Network mode.




●  The main antenna of Galaxy A3 placed to the rear and near the bottom of device.

Thus, in areas of poor reception, if you cover the antenna area of the device, for example, when it is in your pocket with metal objects such as a set of keys, this may cause connectivity problems (which in turn may lead to a increase on battery consumption when the device attempts to reconnect to the network)

Please ensure, when the device is in your pocket, the antenna area is not obscured by large metal objects.
