What to do if my fingerprint is not recognised by my Galaxy S7?

To unlock the device in the event that fingerprint is not recognized, use the backup password that you set up. To do this, follow the steps below:

 

Note: When creating a fingerprint password, you would have created a backup password.


Step1: Tap and drag the lock screen.

Step 2: PIN, Pattern or Password will be displayed. Input the backup security type that you set previously.

 

. 

 

 

NOTE:

 

■ Ensure that the Home button is not scratched or damaged.
■ Finger is not wet.

■ Nothing is obstructing the fingerprint sensor.

 

Important: If you have a Samsung Account, and have registered your device to your Samsung Account, you can go to Find My Mobile and "Unlock your Device".
