Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your don't realize you need it until you get it. I am an engineering student, and am reluctant to spend hundreds of dollars on things; so at first I had some regret on the purchase. I never wore a watch before this and thought I wasn't going to actually get enough use out of it. But after about 6 months with the watch, I think it has been one of the best purchases I made. Being an engineering student I am on technology a lot, and the watch supplements my daily needs so well. Having everything from the time and date, to email notifications on my wrist have proven invaluable. My biggest use is having my google calendar right there. I have a busy schedule and cant remember it all so I keep a very detailed agenda there. Just by spinning the dial I can see when and where I need to go next. I have outlook email notifications set-up, so when I get an email I can check it quickly to see if it is important or not. Same thing with text messages; I will have my phone in my pocket, get a text, and can view the text from the watch and even respond if needed. With calls, I can view who is calling and reject/silence it from my phone. If it is worth answering I can answer it and speak through the watch if i need to. The watch is also very durable. I accidentally hit it on a door frame or desk at least a few times a week. Every time I do that, I have a mini heart attack hoping I don't break it. After all of that, the screen is still impeccable. The only signs of wear are on the bezel due to how much I have hit it, but even then it is minimal. Samsung Pay works great, and it is nice that it works through both NFC and Magnetic. I have gone to retailers and bring up my watch to pay and they stop me and say "Sorry we don't have pay here." It is always satisfying when I prove them wrong by putting it up to the magnetic reader and paying. Overall, for me the watch helps in many small ways, that when added up make it a huge tool for my everyday life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most perfect watch ... so far. I'm sure there are many features that still need to happen. I'm sure there are developments yet to be made. But aside from obvious pie in the sky pure sci-fi lunacy like motion capture for VR or augmented reality applications, I can't think of anything that's even remotely attainable. In the realms of what is logistically feasible, this is the best watch you're going to find today. I realized that this watch was really as good as it was after the honeymoon period ended. After I stopped being dazzled, what struck me the most was the COMFORT of it, not just in the tactile sense, but *conceptually*. Let me see if I can explain... Back when I was still using the Gear S1, I came to realize it was a chore. It was a chore accommodating its quirks, it was a chore making sure it was charged, it was a chore trying to navigate its functions and features, it was a chore making sure it had access to my phone's resources, it was a chore managing notifications... It was ESPECIALLY a chore making sure it was charged because the adapter's clasps kept SNAPPING, connectivity for the charger was spotty, I had to use rubber bands or those extra-thick document clips to hold it on. What makes the Gear S3 beautiful is that I DON'T notice it. I don't notice it until I WANT to. And then it's a joy. That is to say, there is no "friction" in its usage. It comes naturally, and Just. Fits. Every time I want to do something with it, it's responsive, intuitive, trivially easy. If I had to go without it, I'd feel a distinct lack in my life. It's integrated itself seamlessly into my routine to become an extension of my experience. The icing on this cake, and the cherry on top, is its interface with the rotating dial. Do you even KNOW how much I've longed for this to be a function of a watch? I remember those cheap digital casio watches that had a fake bezel around the face that was just a static piece with compass marks on it for no discernible reason. I always used to think, this should DO something. I should be able to turn it, to interact with the watch. But I never could... until THIS watch. I can never properly put into words just how DEEPLY SATISFYING it is to turn that bezel and feel it glide smoothly, click distinctly... the way Samsung's engineers integrated it into setting times for timers and alarms, and either dismissing or snoozing, switching between apps and notifications, scrolling... You will fall in love with this watch on first touch, It's that good. Alright, maybe there IS one thing I'd like to see more of: app support. I would like to see more utilities. I feel like the potential of this device is untapped. But there are far worse problems one could have than a wealthy abundance of growing room! I can't help but feel like this device has a bright future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have had other smartwatches, and this one is by far the best. I love the bright display and feel of the watch. It looks nice and is not awkward on my tiny wrist. I appreciate the round display and the smooth integration with my Galaxy Note 8. There are a lot of optional watch faces available for free which is also great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really the ultimate smart watch Have had for a few weeks now. The ultimate smart watch. Samsung Pay works everywhere using NFC or MST. Terrific auto tracking of walking and biking, my two favorite exercises. Battery lasts over 2 days wearing it constantly, and charges fast. The display is large and easy to read. Performance is liquid fast from app to app. Very tough, can be washed under water. Really glad I got this watch. Can't wait to pair up with a Note 9 which I am saving up for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't Be Happier I've had the Gear S3 for almost a year! What a great watch. The battery life is excellent. The customization is what I like the best where I can get health, weather, emails, text, and other notifications of my choosing. The watch is durable and looks great!
