Can I play 3D movies on this laptop?

Last Update Date : Jan 08. 2018

The gpu should be able to handle it; however the screen is only running at 60 Hz, which means you only get 60 refreshes per second. Even if the laptop could handle it, I'm not sure if it can, but if you found somewhere that says it can, you will need the software and the shutter glasses. Even then, I still would not recommend it because in order to get the 3D effect that way, you would only be getting 30 Hz to each eye, and that can be painful after long use and damage your eyesight. Higher end laptops have 3D screens which run at 120 Hz, which evens out to 60 Hz each eye when using 3D, making it much safer and less painful to use. A second option would be to hook this laptop up to a 3D ready monitor and run it that way.
