How to set your monitor to the Native Resolution Windows 7

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images displayed on your screen. The larger the monitor, usually the higher the resolution it supports. 

 

You can change the screen resolution to make text, images, and windows appear smaller or larger to fit your personal style.

Change the Screen Resolution

1 Click the Start button navigate to Control Panel , and then, under Appearance and Personalization , click Adjust screen resolution.
2 Click the drop-down list next to Resolution, move the slider that displays the monitor’s native resolution or Recommended Resolution, and then click Apply .

3 Click OK to accept the new screen resolution or Cancel to revert the setting.

Native resolution

Here are typical resolutions for some popular screen sizes: 
ㆍ19-inch screen (standard ratio): 1280 x 1024 pixels

ㆍ20-inch screen (standard ratio): 1600 x 1200 pixels

ㆍ22-inch screen (widescreen): 1680 x 1050 pixels

ㆍ24-inch screen (widescreen): 1900 x 1200 pixels
