     Creating a new drive

Go to “Control Panel” → “System and Security” → “Administrative Tools” →

“Computer Management.”

 

.

 

In the “Computer Management” window, select “Disk Management”

of “Storage.”

 

.

Among the Disk 0 partitions, right click the C partition.

 

.

Click “Shrink Volume…” and click the “Shrink” button.

 

.

Sufficiently set the shrink volume size and follow instructions on the

 

 

.

After shrinking, right click on a newly created partition named “Unallocated.”

 

.

 

Click “New Simple Volume” and follow instructions on the screen to

perform volume creation.

 

.

 

 

 

     Backing up with “Recovery”

 

 

.

Run the “Recovery” program.

 

.

Click the “Backup” menu.

 

.

Click “Yes” to run with administrator privileges.

 

.

 

Specify the newly created drive for “Please select a drive for

saving backup data.”

 

.

Click the “Backup” button to start backing up the current state.

 

.

Run Windows Explorer and check whether a folder named

“SamsungRecovery” has been created in the newly created drive,

and take caution not to delete or change it.
