Temperature inside the refrigerator does not match the temperature on the display panel.

Last Update Date : Jan 10. 2018

The temperature on the display panel is measured at the evaporator to give an average compartment temperature.

Measuring the temperature with an external thermometer is not an accurate measurement because of the following reasons:

  • Hot air rises, and cold air falls. This can effect the shelf temperatures
  • Opening the door to read the thermometer allows cold air to escape, and warm air to enter causing an inaccurate temperature reading
  • Refrigeration thermometers are calibrated differently then regular household thermometers.
  • A general rule of thumb is + or - 4° difference is normal.
