How to fix fingerprint error pop up on Galaxy S9/S9+

Some Galaxy Galaxy S9/S9+ users may be not able to access their devices due to fingerprint with error pop-up message displayed on the bottom of lock screen.

Samsung will release a new software update as soon as possible. In the meantime, please update your software and applications to the
latest version.

Note:The fingerprint sensor is sensitive to moisture. Make sure both the device and your finger are dry when attempting to scan your fingerprint.

Restart Fingerprint Sensor

Before the release of new software, Samsung encourages you to follow these steps:

1 On the Apps screen, tap Settings.
Select Settings
2 Tap Advanced features
Select advance features
3 Tap the Finger sensor gestures switch to turn off the feature.
Select Finger sensor
4 Restart the device.
