Enabling the Mobile Tracker Service with Samsung Wave GT-S8500.

Step 1. Sign into a Samsung Account from Samsung Wave.

To take advantage of Samsung Dive, sign in with a Samsung Account on the device. To sign in , follow the steps below:

• From the Home Screen, tap the "My Accounts" option

• Select the "Samsung" account option

• If you already have a Samsung account, simply enter your email address and password

• If you don’t have an Account, select the "Join Now" option and follow the simple instructions

Step 2. Turn on Mobile Tracker service in the Samsung Wave.

The Samsung Mobile Tracker service will allow you to lock, wipe or see the location of your phone. If you want to take advantage of this service, is essential that you enable the mobile Tracker by following these simple steps.

 

• From the Home Screen, tap the "Settings" icon

• Scroll down and select the "Security" option

• Tap the button adjacent to the "Mobile Tracker" option

• You will be asked to enter your phone’s password – if you do not already have a password, your Wave will guide you to set one up

• You will then be asked for contact details – if you lose your phone, this is where the notification messages will be sent

• Save the settings

Step 3. Using the Samsung Dive Mobile Tracker Service on the Web.

Mobile Tracker is a Samsung security assistant designed to help you when you have lost your phone. It will allow you to:

• Receive notification when the SIM card in the phone is changed

• Remotely lock your phone

• Remotely wipe your phone

• Receive the location of your phone*

 

Locking your Phone

When your device is lost you can lock your device via Samsung Dive. To do this, you'll need to have enabled Mobile Tracker and signed in to your Samsung account. In addition, you will have to verify the phone number of your device. A locked device can be unlocked with the phone password.

To lock your phone, follow these steps:

1. Log into Samsung Dive using your Samsung Account password

2. Select "Mobile Tracker"

3. Select "Remote Lock"

4. Select the device you want to lock

5. Select the "Send Lock" command and enter your Samsung Account password

6. Your lock command may take time depending on your Network

 

Remotely Wiping your Phone

You can also remotely wipe your phone. You should be cautious in using this element of the service, as once this command is actioned, you CANNOT restore your data.

To wipe your phone, follow these steps:

1. Log into Samsung Dive using your Samsung Account password

2. Select "Mobile Tracker"

3. Select "Remote Wipe"

4. Select the device you want to wipe

5. Select the "Send Wipe" command and enter your Samsung Account password

6. Your wipe command may take time depending on your Network

 

Getting the location of your Phone

(For legal reasons, this may not be available in some countries.)

When your device is lost you can locate your device via Samsung Dive. To do this, you'll need to have enabled Mobile Tracker and signed in to your Samsung account. In addition, you will have to verify the phone number of your device.

To locate your device in Samsung Dive:

1. Log into Samsung Dive using your Samsung Account password

2. Select "Mobile Tracker"

3. Select "Location Information"

4. Select the device you want to locate

5. Select the "Update Location" command and enter your Samsung Account password

6. Your Update Location command may take time depending on your Network
