Galaxy S7 Flat/Edge: Is the camera quality of S7 worse than S6 with 16M?

Last Update Date : Apr 09. 2018

As dual photodiode is applied to the camera, pixel size is larger and the number of pixels is reduced.

However, previous Galaxy S6‟s camera supports 5312 X 2988 of 16:9 ratio with16M pixels and Galaxy S7 supports4032 X 3024 of 4:3 ratio with 12M pixels. Even though number of pixels is reduced, detailed expression of camera is equal to or more level as it maintains each pixel‟s horizontal line number.

Rather, because Galaxy S7 applies the new lens and dual photodiode sensor, more bright and clear images with less noise can be taken.
