How can I make a payment with my Galaxy Watch?
Your Galaxy Watch is the most convenient and direct way to make payments without using your smartphone. Once you have set up your phone, you can use your Galaxy Watch just like a card. Learn how to use Samsung Pay with your Galaxy Watch below.
Please note: In new versions of the app for your device, the app for making payments from your Galaxy Watch will be renamed Samsung Wallet.
Set your watch to be able to pay
Please note: Before start the process, download Samsung Pay (watch plug-in). You can only access Samsung Pay from the home screen.
Step 1. Press and hold the back key to open Samsung Pay.
Step 2. Press “OK” to be redirected to your smartphone.
Step 3. On your smartphone, allow all permissions and tap “Start” to continue the process.
Step 4. Tap “Add card” to add your card.
Step 5. Select “Add payment card” or “Import card” and follow the steps.
Step 6. On your smartphone, tap “Set lock” to create a PIN or a pattern to use Samsung Pay on your watch.
Step 7. On your Galaxy Watch, select the lock type you want to use.
Step 8. Draw your pattern twice or insert your PIN.
Step 9. On your smartphone, tap “Next”.

- If you have not registered a card before and need more information on how to do so, go to the Samsung Support website.
- The procedures for the initial setup and card registration may vary depending on the region or service provider.
How to remove or change your PIN
Please note: When you set Security to None, the Samsung Pay on your Watch will be reset.
Step 1. On your watch, swipe up on the home screen and tap the Settings icon.
Step 2. Tap “Security”.
Step 3. Tap “Lock”.
Step 4. Tap “Type” and enter your PIN or pattern.
Step 5. Tap “None” to remove your PIN or pattern. If you want to change the PIN or pattern, on the same screen select “PIN” or “Pattern” and enter a new one.
How to make a payment with your watch
Step 1. Press and hold the back key and enter your PIN or pattern.
Step 2. Select the card you want to use by swiping right or left and tap the desired one.
Step 3. Hold the watch near the NFC reader to pay.

- Some payments may not be processed depending on your network connection. In addition, Samsung Pay may not be available depending on the country of use or watch model.
- In new versions of the app for your device, the app for making payments from your Galaxy Watch will be renamed Samsung Wallet.
