When running Sync, the error, “Class not registered." occurred.

 [Solution]

When a class registration error occurs, follow the steps below;

Option 1) Register class automatically by batch file.

1-1) Unzip AUTO_NPS_COM_REG.zip in the NPS installation folder.

(Default installation folder: C:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung New PC Studio\)

 

1-2) Run unzipped NPS_COM_REG.bat by double-clicking it.

(For Vista, select the file, right-click and run it with Administrator authority.)

(The below command window will automatically run and end.)

 1-3) Run NPS to check if the same error occurs.

 

Option 2) Register class manually.

2-1) Go to ‘Start’ and ‘Run’

2-2) Enter ‘cmd’ and click ‘OK”

     

2-3) Go to the NPS installation folder.

     

2-4) Unzip MANUAL_NPS_COM_REG.zip and copy each line, paste it in the cmd window and press Enter.

 2-5) Run NPS to check if the same error occurs.

 

Option 3) When NPSSync.dll error occurs, replace mapi32.dll.

3-1) Go to ‘Start’ and ‘Run’

3-2) Enter ‘cmd’ and click ‘OK”

     

3-3) Go to the NPS installation folder.

     

3-4) Enter regsvr32 NPSSync.dll, press ‘Enter’ and check if the below error occurs.

     

3-5) When error occurs, mapi32.dll might be damaged, a wrong version or does not exist.

(Double-click C:\Windows\System32\fixmapi.exe and the file is automatically created if it did not exist even if it is not clearly visible.)

 

3-6) Run NPS to check if the same error occurs.

-   If the message of success shows up by following 3-2 and 3-3 again

 

3-7) If the same error occurs check the version of mapi32.dll.

-   Go to C:\Windows\System32\mapi32.dll to see if its version is 4.0 or lower.

  

-   If the version is 4.0 or lower, (Change the name of mapi32.dll at C:\Windows\System32\ to mapi32.dll_old and paste the below file.)

     

 3-8) Run NPS to check if the same error occurs.

-   If the message of success shows up by following 3-2 and 3-3 again

 

    ** If you replaced mapi32.dll,

  •  If you have already installed Outlook in your PC and use it, run it to check if there is no problem.
  • If there is a problem, restore mapi32.dll_old to mapi32.dll.
  • Please zip mapi32.dll and send the zip file tonewsps@mobileleader.com.
