Ultra-high resolution
with tiny yet powerful pixels

Inspired by ISOCELL

Samsung ISOCELL GH1 is an image sensor with ultra-high 43.7Mp resolution made up of ultra-small 0.7um pixels in a petite 1/2.65” size.

Slim Design

Higher resolution in a slim device

To keep smartphone’s sleek design while offering high resolution camera, ISOCELL GH1 uses ultra-small 0.7um pixels for ultra-high 43.7Mp resolution. With 0.7um-sized pixels, ISOCELL GH1 packs in 36% more resolution than the same-sized 0.8um 32Mp ISOCELL GD1 image sensor, making it a highly ideal solution for the trending full display smartphones.

ISOCELL Plus

Uncompromised pixel performance

Absorbing enough light to identify the right color per each pixel is a difficult task, especially when pixels are 0.7um small and densely packed together.
To absorb more light without cross-talk contamination, ISOCELL GH1’s pixels are shielded with Samsung’s ISOCELL Plus technology. ISOCELL Plus is an advanced pixel isolation technology that places a barrier around each pixel all the way up to the color filter level minimizing optical loss and light reflection allowing even the sub-micro sized 0.7um pixels to hold as much light as possible.

Tetrapixel Technology

Big-pixel like performance in low light

Unlike day-time, when there is an abundance of light available, taking a clear photograph in the evening or in-doors is very challenging. To take brighter pictures even in such low-light environment, GH1 takes advantage of Samsung’s Tetrapixel, a technology that uses special color filter array and merges neighboring four pixels to work as one. This allows GH1 to simulate large 1.4um pixels capturing more light to produce brighter 10Mp resolution photographs. In bright day-light, however, the GH1 takes highly detailed 43.7Mp photographs.

Super-PD Auto Focus

Instant focus for sharper image

A rapid auto focus is very important when taking sharp and clear photographs. ISOCELL GH1 adopts Super-PD auto focus solution that uses a special oval lens that covers two pixels, instead of one, for phase detecting auto focus. With Super-PD solution, GH1 offers precise and faster focusing to achieve sharper image even when taking picture of a fast moving object.

Real-time HDR

True-to-life colors at any time

In most cases, lighting is resourceful when taking pictures but sometimes lighting makes it difficult for an image sensor to fully capture the essence of the scene. GH1’s real-time HDR feature assigns each pixels to a specific exposure time of long, middle, or short This allows GH1 to instantly capture a colorful high dynamic range photographs without the need of combining multi-exposure pictures that are taken separately.
