Nine of our memory products have earned Carbon Footprint certifications from the U.K.-based the Carbon Trust, including four DRAM solutions, three SSDs and two e-storage devices. Of these, our Portable SSD T7 Touch has also acquired Low Carbon Product certification from Korea’s Ministry of Environment (MoE), which is given to products that reduce carbon emissions more than the previous Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) accredited products. These products are considered green, meaning they reduce energy and resource consumption and minimize pollutants generated throughout the entire manufacturing process.

We reduced the amount of carbon emissions generated throughout the Portable SSD T7 Touch production process, reduced the packaging by one-third in comparison to our Portable SSD T5 and changed packaging material from plastic to an eco-friendly pulp — resulting in a 5.1% decrease in carbon emissions and savings of approximately 84 tons of CO₂. That’s the amount of CO₂ absorbed by 1.3 million 30-year-old pine trees.
