Flicker on video with NX200

Symptom: Camera Flickers when use on video mode under a fluorescent lighting.

 

A flicker is cause by two things:

 

        1. A difference in the scanning frequency between the fluorescent and the camera

 

        2. A difference in the way the phosphor dots are perceived between the human eye

            and the camera's image sensor.

 

Solution: Flickering problem can be minimized by setting the frame rate of camera (Settings > Movie Size) or adjust the shutter speed priority (Setting > Movie AE mode-Aperture Priority). You need to play around with this setting in order to sync the refresh rate of the fluorescent light.

 

This will only help but not 100% solved the issue. These are not Video Cameras; they are still camera with a video recording feature.
