Windows 8: How to reset forgotten Microsoft Account Password

Using a Microsoft Account to Sign in Your Windows 8

Step 1:
Open Charm Bar -> Click Settings -> Click Change PC settings

Step 2:
Click Users menu → Click Switch to a Microsoft account button

Step 3:
Enter your email address -> Enter a password -> Click Finish button

Step 4:
After restarting your computer, sign in with your Microsoft account


 

If You Forgot Your Sign in Password

Step 1:
Launch Internet Explorer, go to the website http://www.live.com from any internet connected PC

Step 2:
Click Can’t access your account?' button

Step 3:
Type the characters shown on the Microsoft account and in the picture

Step 4:
On the Reset your password option, choose Email me a reset link

Step 5:
Access your email account for password verification

Step 6:
Open your email in-box and click Microsoft Account Password Reset

Step 7:
Click the URL below this message: If this is requested your password reset, please go to

Step 8:
Give a new password to the open page then click Next

Step 9:
Go back to your PC, connect it to the internet, and sign in with the Microsoft account and new password
