How to troubleshoot weak cooling in Samsung Refrigerator?

Last Update Date : Oct 19. 2018

If your Refrigerator is not cooling properly, there are some things to check to troubleshoot this issue.

1 Lower the temperature settings on your Refrigerator. The ideal temperature for a Refrigerator is approximately 3°C (37°F) and -18°C (0°F) for the Freezer
Lower the temperature settings on your Refrigerator
2 Check that no cooling vents are being blocked by overloaded food
Avoid blocking the cooling vents
3 The powerful cooling of your Refrigerator also depends on a proper seal of the fridge doors and drawers when closed. If this seal is broken, you may experience low or weak cooling

• Inspect the flap door gasket for any gap, tear or dirt
• Inspect the door and ensure that it is able to flap securely
• If signs of frost buildup around the gasket, clean it with a soft cloth
Check the flap door
4 Do a quick check of your Refrigerator's content. If there are tall bottles sitting on the side bin or something jutting out past the edge of the shelf, remove/rearrange these items as it may push against the door and breaking the seal
Check that no items are blocking the door
5 Refrain from placing the Refrigerator too close to a heat source., such as an oven or in extreme sunlight
Do not place the Refrigerator near any heat source
