Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ cannot receive messages through 3rd party applications

For such incident, please check whether the installed 3rd party applications are in sleeping mode.

 

To save battery life, App power monitor function on Galaxy device detects Apps that are using battery in the background and put these Apps to sleep automatically when they have not been used for a set time period (default: 3 days).

 

Sleeping Apps may not receive updates or send notifications but they’ll wake up as soon as being used again.

 

Additionally, if you had added Applications in Always Sleeping Apps list, they will never be able to run in background and they may not receive updates or send notifications.

 

To check whether the Apps are in sleeping mode or in the Always Sleeping Apps list:
