What to do when there are lines on Samsung TV Screen?

You may encounter different variations of lines on the TV screen. If there are horizontal or vertical lines on your TV screen, follow these steps:

1 Check if the lines on the screen are moving or permanent
2 If the lines are moving, check the input source (HDMI 1, Video, PC, etc.) and connection if they are properly connected. Disconnect and re-connect the video cable/HDMI to check if the issue is resolved
3 If the lines issue persists, perform a Picture Test by executing the following options. Press Menu → Select Support → Select Self Diagnosis → Select Picture Test
There are lines on the TV screen
4 Check if the line appears in the picture test

If no horizontal lines are seen on the image, then the issue is not associated with your television, please refer to your Satellite or Cable Service Provider for further checking
5 If there are still lines on the screen, please also try a different input source (Example: HDMI 2, 3 or AV Input)
6 If the lines issue happen intermittently on all channels and all sources, this could be due to software version issue. Check if the TV has the latest software version updated. Refer here to know How to update Samsung Smart TV's software and firmware
