How does the programme work?
The Samsung Trade Up Programme is provided by a Samsung-approved independent third-party vendor ("Trade Up Vendor"), and gives customers the opportunity to receive monetary value for trading in their eligible devices ("Eligible Trade-in Device") when they purchase a new Galaxy S10e/ S10/ S10+/ Note10/ Note10+/ Tab S5e/ Tab S6 ("Eligible Samsung Device"). Customers can purchase the Eligible Samsung Device via any authorised channel to qualify for the Samsung Trade Up programme. Customers may participate in this programme via:

  • All local Samsung Experience Stores (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet).

Trade-in values listed on Samsung Trade Up website are only approximate valuations. The actual value of your Eligible Trade-in Device will depend on the device’s actual condition. To obtain an accurate quote for your Eligible Trade-in Device, please bring the device to any Samsung Experience Store (excluding Changi Airport T3 outlet) for device diagnostic.
Who can take part in the programme?
Only Singapore Residents, Permanent Residents, Employment Pass and Work Permit holders who (i) are aged 18 years and above; (ii) reside in Singapore; and (iii) (for those who wish to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device other than at the point of purchase of an Eligible Samsung Device at Samsung Experience Stores (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet)) have a local bank account in Singapore; can take part in the programme.
Can I trade-in any smartphone or tablet?
You can only trade-in eligible smartphones or tablets. You can check if your device is eligible via www.samsung.com/sg/tradeup. Samsung reserves the right to make changes to the list of eligible smartphone and tablet models on www.samsung.com/sg/tradeup at any time without prior notice.
Can I trade-in more than one device at a time?
For each Eligible Samsung Device purchased, you are entitled to trade-in one Eligible Trade-in Device.
Are there any new purchase requirements for trading in my device?
Yes, you will need to purchase a new Eligible Samsung Device and retrieve the IMEI / serial number of your new Eligible Samsung device, before you can proceed with the trade-in transaction. To retrieve the IMEI / serial number of your new Eligible Samsung Device, simply dial *#06# on your device.
Where can I trade-in my device at?
If you wish to purchase an Eligible Samsung Device without a mobile contract, you may head to any Samsung Experience Store (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet) to enjoy the Samsung Trade Up Programme in-store. Your Eligible Trade-in Device will be assessed on-site and you will receive a discount amounting to the trade-in value from the purchase price of the Eligible Samsung Device. Please note that the in-store discount is only available at Samsung Experience Stores (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet) and only at the point of purchase of the Eligible Samsung Device.

If you have purchased your Eligible Samsung Device from a local participating telco operator or other Samsung authorised retailers, or did not utilise your in-store discount at the point of purchase of your Eligible Samsung Device from a Samsung Experience Store, you may head to any Samsung Experience Store (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet) to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device.
What do I need to bring for the trade-in at Samsung Experience Stores?
If you will be purchasing an Eligible Samsung Device at the Samsung Experience Store, simply bring your Eligible Trade-in Device. Ensure that all security settings (PIN, passcode etc), Google, iTunes and Samsung accounts are disabled, and that all your data is backed up. Please note that you will be required to provide your personal details such as name, ID/passport number and address for the purposes of the trade-in, as required under the law.

If you have already purchased an Eligible Samsung Device and would now like to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device, please also bring your new Eligible Samsung Device for retrieval of mobile/tablet IMEI / serial number, and your proof of purchase of the Eligible Samsung Device.
If I trade-in my device at Samsung Experience Stores, do I get cash on the spot or will the money be reimbursed to my bank account?
If you purchase an Eligible Samsung Device at a Samsung Experience Store (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet), the trade-in value of the Eligible Trade-in device will be instantly offset from your purchase price of the Eligible Samsung Device.

If you have already purchased an Eligible Samsung Device and would now like to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device, you can choose to receive the trade-in value of the Eligible Trade-in Device via:
  • Local Bank Transfer (14 working days)
Am I still eligible for the trade-in at Samsung Experience Stores, if I bought my Eligible Samsung Device from another retailer or another Samsung Experience Store?
Only purchase made from local M1, SingTel and StarHub stores, Samsung Experience Stores and other Samsung authorised retailers are eligible for Samsung Trade Up Programme.
Do I need to remove screen lock/pin lock from my device?
Yes, you need to remove all of your device's security locks (Pattern/Pin/Password/Biometrics/Find my mobile/Gmail account/Samsung account/iCloud/AndroidTM or Google Smart Lock/Carrier activation locks) prior to handing over your trade-in device to the Trade Up Vendor.

Please also delete all personal data in your trade-in device prior to handing it over for trade-in. We recommend that you reset your device back to factory default settings so as to delete all personal data. Please ensure you back up your data before resetting your device to factory default settings.
Do I have to remove all accessories from my device (such as screen protector and back cover) for the diagnostic assessment?
Yes, this is to ensure that you get the best value for your device through the diagnostic assessment.
Do I have to bring my SIM card along with my trade-in device?
No, you must remove your SIM card before handing in your trade-in device to the Trade Up Vendor. If a SIM card is still in your device, it will be destroyed upon receipt to protect any personal data.
Do I have to bring my device accessories for the trade-in? (headset, charger, cables, etc.)
No. All the Trade Up Vendor needs from you is your trade-in device (inclusive of battery). You do not need to bring the in-box accessories or packaging for the trade-in.
I bought my current device outside Singapore. Can I trade this in?
No, you cannot.
Do I have to provide any proof of purchase for my trade-in device?
The Trade Up Vendor’s terms and conditions require you to acknowledge that you are the owner of the device that you are trading in, and that you are entitled to trade-in your device. Therefore, while you are not required to provide your proof of purchase of the trade-in device, you will be required to provide your personal details such as name, ID/passport number and address for the purposes of the trade-in, as required under the law.

If you have already purchased an Eligible Samsung Device and would now like to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device, you will have to provide your proof of purchase of the Eligible Samsung Device.
What is the trade-in value of my device?
You can check if your device is eligible for trade-in and its trade-in value via www.samsung.com/sg/tradeup. How is the value determined for my device?
The trade-in value is determined by the model type and device condition upon assessment done at Samsung Experience Store.
My device is not working or cannot be powered up. Can I trade it in?
If your device is no longer working or cannot be powered up, you cannot trade it in.
My device has some defects. Can I trade it in?
If your eligible trade-in device has some defects, you will not be entitled to the full trade-in value of the device. Refer to the next question for the list of defects that will affect the value of your trade-in device.
What are the defects that will affect my trade-in value?
This is the list of defects that will affect the trade-in value of your eligible trade-in device and its balance trade-in value.

Will you accept my device for trade-in if it has gone through any hardware or software modification?
We do not accept devices that have gone through any form of modification that differs from the original product, such as rooting or jail-breaking.
How much is my trade-in device worth if there are such defects?
The final trade-in value will be determined by the Trade Up Vendor after physical assessment of your trade-in device at Samsung Experience Store.
How do I receive my trade-in payment? How long will it take?
If you purchase an Eligible Samsung Device at a Samsung Experience Store (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet), the trade-in value of the Eligible Trade-in device will be instantly offset from your purchase price of the Eligible Samsung Device.

If you have already purchased an Eligible Samsung Device and would now like to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device, you can choose to receive the trade-in value of the Eligible Trade-in Device via:

What if I do not have any bank account number?
If you wish to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device other than at the point of purchase of an Eligible Samsung Device at Samsung Experience Stores (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet), you will need to obtain a local bank account as PC Dreams can only make payment to you via Bank Transfer to the local bank account that you have provided to them.
What if my bank account is not a local bank account?
If you wish to trade-in your Eligible Trade-in Device other than at the point of purchase of an Eligible Samsung Device at Samsung Experience Stores (except Changi Airport Terminal 3 outlet), you will not be able to take part in the Samsung Trade Up programme as PC Dreams can only make payment to you via Bank Transfer to the local bank account that you have provided to them.
I received an email saying that my payment was made, but I haven't received it. What do I do?

Does the Trade Up Vendor keep my information safe and secure?
Yes. The Trade Up Vendor is required to keep your personal information safe and secure, and to only collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

All devices will undergo a data wipe process upon trade-in to ensure that all data stored on the devices are deleted.

In the case of SIM cards and/or microSD cards being left on the collected devices, the Trade Up Vendor will destroy them upon receipt of devices so as to protect any personal data.
What do you do with my device?
All devices collected by the Trade Up Vendor will undergo a data wipe process upon trade-in so as to ensure all data stored on the device is deleted.

If your device cannot be economically repaired, it will be recycled in an environmentally responsible way.
How do I turn off or remove "Find My iPhone", "Find My iPad", "iCloud", "Gmail", "Google account", "Samsung account" or "Find My Mobile"?

How do I find the IMEI number on my device?
The easiest and quickest way to get your 15 digit IMEI number is by dialling *#06# on your device. Eg: 352003090674381/01 – please omit the "/"and "01".
