If required, the height of the upper rack can be adjusted in order to create more space for large utensils either in the upper rack or lower rack. The upper rack can be adjusted by lifting the handle in a downward or upward direction. Long items, serving cutlery, salad servers or knives should be placed on the shelf so that they do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms. The shelf can be folded back or removed when not required for use.
This rack allows dishes to rest at an angle, so water runs off and drying becomes more efficient.
The half load option may be used to operate either the upper or the lower rack only when washing a small amount of dishes. The dishwasher will fill half or less of the dishwasher capacity.
The full flex tine system creates the space for larger dishware when you need it. Its adjustable tines fold down in two steps to provide more flexibility so various sizes of dishes or bowls can be loaded.
Samsung dishwashers are highly efficient for energy usage and washing / drying performance.
Rated 2 out of 5 by SteveB from Very quiet, but poor design/build quality Replaced our previous dishwasher due to kitchen/house re-design. Needed a built-in washer that was very quiet (open-plan living area). Washes OK and we find the finishing tune (movement in 3 parts) amusing. However, less than a year after we started using it, the height-adjustable top shelf had to be propped-up as the height adjuster is badly designed and the plastic parts had splayed apart. Less than one year further on and the lower door seal has failed. We could only get a replacement seal from Finland, which proved quite expensive and could find no instructions online for replacement on this model. An older dishwasher of ours ran for 10 years without any of the seals failing. We found Samsung after-sales service quite poor, especially once the product was out of warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KatyP from Probably the worst appliance I have ever bought. Chose this product based mainly on Samsungs reputation & the Washer/Dryer I already have is fantastic. The dishwasher however is a totally different story. Within 2 weeks it had leaked & covered about 3m x 2m of the kitchen floor. The engineer came, ordered a part & returned to rectify that particular issue. I appreciate this could be one off, however the release on the door for the tablet fails on more occasions than it works, resulting in the same load being washed up to 3 times. The clearance between the trays is poor so anything larger than a table spoon has to go on the top tray (Yep, Ive adjusted the height of the top tray). When running it is quiet but then the tune that notifies you its finished is ridiculous. The kids think the ice cream van is here! So finally when I have played tetris with the pots & loaded it, prayed to the dishwasher gods that the tablet release door does open, endure the ridiculous tune on completion has it cleaned the dishes? No, it really is rubbish!
