When will I receive the email notification about my eligibility for the next upgrade?

You will receive an email when you are eligible (approximately 12 months after your initial purchase).

As an existing Upgrade Programme customer, will my deposit and monthly bill increase when I upgrade again?

Your deposit and monthly payment will depend on the price of the new device.

How does Samsung arrange for me to pay in instalments?

When you join the programme, you are entering a credit agreement that is administered through a third party, Klarna Bank AB. For this reason, you need to undergo a credit check as part of your application.

How long does the credit screening process take? Will I be able to get next day delivery?

To find out how long the process will take, please contact Klarna Bank AB. If your credit screening is approved on the same day as the order and before the delivery cut-off, next day delivery is possible. However, for pre-orders, we will set timelines for deliveries in advance.

As an existing Upgrade Programme customer, will I undergo another credit screening when I upgrade?

Can I purchase several phones through the Samsung Upgrade Programme?

No. Only one device per transaction is available.

I lost my phone, but my insurance company replaced it with the same exact model. Am I still eligible for an upgrade?

Yes

My phone has a cracked screen – am I still eligible for an upgrade?

You will need to have your phone repaired by Samsung’s authorised repair centre. Once it has been repaired, you will be eligible for the upgrade process.

Is the Upgrade Programme available in the Employee Purchase Programme?

Yes, you can still take advantage of the Upgrade Programme if you are buying your phone through the Employee Purchase Programme.

How quickly do I have to send my old phone after upgrading?

You must send us your old phone within 5 days of receiving your new handset.

What should I do before sending Samsung my old phone?

Back up your files, photos and data, and remove your SIM and any memory cards. Samsung cannot recover any data from your phone after you send it. When sending your phone, please include the box and any accessories if possible.

I want to cancel my order – how much time do I have?

You have 14 days to cancel the credit agreement, and 28 days to cancel your order of the phone itself.

How does PayPal Credit work?

Think of it as credit without a card. If approved, you'll get a credit limit that can be used straight away at thousands of online stores that accept PayPal.

At some of those stores, you can use PayPal Credit to pay in instalments. This lets you spread the cost with equal monthly payments, usually at a lower interest rate. You may also be able to access other types of promotional offers.

What is a Representative APR?

A Representative APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is shown on products where you borrow money, so that an easier and fairer comparison can be made. It's the typical cost of credit expressed as a percentage, spread over 12 months.

Does it take long to apply?

The application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. We'll run a credit check and give you a decision in seconds. Once you've read and agreed to your Credit Agreement, you can complete your purchase right away.

How do I make payments?

You can make a one-off repayment from your bank account, debit card or PayPal balance at any time, either online or by calling PayPal Customer Service. Alternatively you can set up monthly Direct Debit payments from a bank account you've linked to your PayPal account. To set up Direct Debit payments, log in to your PayPal account and follow the instructions on the Make a Payment page.

Does PayPal Credit offer other benefits?

PayPal Credit gives you credit that you can use again and again. Other benefits include:
- Flexibility and control — choose to settle up immediately or spread the costs monthly
- Promotional offers so you could receive reduced interest, or interest-free rates, on certain purchases
- PayPal Credit is easily accessible from your PayPal account when you make an online purchase

Are there any fees associated with PayPal Credit?

If you're late with a payment, PayPal will charge you a late payment fee of £12. You'll be charged a return payment fee of £12 if you have insufficient funds to cover the payment. What happens if the trade-in phone that I send to Samsung doesn’t meet the requirements?

I have been asked to pay a surcharge because my old phone didn’t meet the trade-in requirements. Who should I contact to discuss this?

What should I do before sending Samsung my old phone?

I have decided to return my new phone for a refund. Can I get my old trade-in phone back?

If you exercise your right to cancel and return the new phone during the 28-day cooling-off period, we will endeavour to return your trade-in phone, but this cannot be guaranteed. In the event the old phone cannot be returned MTR will provide you with a cash equivalent price for the old phone based on the price currently payable for your old phone on the Samsung Recycle website (www.samsungrecycle.co.uk).
