Getting to know Bixby
Learn how you can make every day easier
Option 1 - Using your voice to activate Bixby
To start talking to Bixby, simply hold down the Bixby button (found on the left side of the phone) or say ”Hi Bixby”.
To activate Bixby, select the Bixby button.
Select the icon with the three vertical dots (found in the top right corner).
Select Settings.
Check that Bixby Voice is turned on.

Option 2 - Using Bixby to set reminders
To set up reminders using Bixby, hold down the Bixby button (found on the left side of the phone) or say “Hi Bixby”.
Say your reminder.
Bixby will then add your note to the Reminders app.

Option 3 - Using Bixby to send SMS messages
To send SMS text messages using Bixby, hold down the Bixby button (found on the left side of the phone) and say “Send message to (name)”.
This will open up the messaging app where you can tell Bixby what to write.
Once you’ve finished, a message will appear on the screen asking whether you wish to send.

Option 4 - Using Live Translation with Bixby
Select the Bixby Vision app from the home screen.
Select the Text icon to switch to Live Translation.
Hover the camera over the text you wish to translate.
Your translation will appear on the screen.

Option 5 - Using Bixby Vision to get information on food
Open your camera and select the Bixby Vision icon.
Select the Food icon.
Hover the camera over a food item to show nutritional values, read recipes, and watch videos.
Useful tip: You can add information about a food item into Samsung Health by selecting Food Tracker.

Option 6 - Using Bixby Places
Open your camera and select the Bixby Vision Icon.
Swipe to scroll through the icons and select Place.
You’re ready to go. Point the camera in different directions to show local places of interest.
Select an icon to show further information, including contact details.
