What are the best ways to remove stains from my laundry?

Always refer to the care label to check the correct detergents and temperatures to use in the stain removal process. You can see a guide to what the different fabric labels mean here.

Some fabrics, such as silk and suede, are dry clean only and should not be cleaned at home.

Always test products on a hidden area of the garment.

TIPS

Rinse, dab or soak the stain at the earliest opportunity.
o not apply pressure to the stain e.g. scrubbing. Always dab, rinse or soak.
Treat the stain from the opposite side of the fabric. This method ensures you are driving the stain out of the fabric, rather than it penetrating further.

Blood (wet or dry)

1 Rinse the stain immediately with cold water.
2 Soak the garment in cold to warm water mixed with detergent for 15 minutes.
3 Remove from soaking and dab the stain with household ammonia if the stain persists.
4 Machine wash garment in a separate load to avoid any risk of stain transfer.
