How do I put my Samsung Galaxy S5 in Airplane Mode?

The Airplane mode feature turns off your device's connection to your mobile service provider and also disables your device's Wi-Fi connection. To use Wi-Fi you will need to turn it back on via the Settings menu or Notification Panel. There are three ways to access Airplane mode.

Accessing Airplane Mode through Settings

From the Home screen touch Apps > Settings > Airplane mode. Toggle the switch to the ON position turn Airplane to activate.

Accessing Airplane Mode through the Quick Panel

To access the Quick Panel use two fingers to swipe down from the top of the screen. Touch the Airplane mode icon to turn Airplane mode on or off. When the feature is on the icon appears green.

Accessing Airplane Mode by pressing down the Power key

Press and hold the Power key for two seconds. The Device options menu will appear. Touch Airplane mode to turn it on or off.

Note: the Airplane mode icon is displayed at the top of your screen when your device is in Airplane mode.
