How do I use Smart View to display my screen on my TV or other device?

What is Smart View?

Smart View allows you to share your mobile screen with another screen such as a TV or other smartphone. Smart View is available on devices with the Nougat and up operating systems, and is also available to download as an app .

If you have an older model or operating system, you may also be able to use the Screen Mirroring function to share your screen

How do I use Smart View?

1 Slide your finger down from the top of the screen to open the notifications panel
2 You may need to slide down again to open the extended panel
3 If Smart View is not immediately available, note that it is also possible to swipe to the side to see more options
4 Tap the Smart View icon
5 Smart View will now look for devices close to you. Tap the name of the device that you want to connect to when it comes up.

Make sure that the device you are trying to share your screen with is open to sharing. If you are sharing to a TV screen, you will need to turn on the screen mirroring function on that TV. If you are trying to share to another smartphone, check that the device has visibility to other devices turned on in its Settings menu

6 You will now see a request on the other device or TV to allow your device to connect
7 You may be asked now to enter a PIN. This should appear once you have accepted the request on the TV or other smartphone

You should now be able to view your screen on the other device

If you have an older device or TV that does not have screen mirroring, Quick Connect, or Smart View, you may also be able to connect via an HDMI cable.
