My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sometimes does not recognise my fingerprint. What should I do?

For the best results swipe the entire pad of your finger, from base to tip, across the Home key to register your fingerprint properly.

If you bend your finger the device may not recognise your fingerprint. Accessories such as key protectors may prevent the recognition of fingerprints.

Keep your finger flat against the Home key and swipe at a moderate speed. The fingerprint sensor is sensitive to moisture so make sure both the screen and your fingertip are dry.

The Home button contains the fingerprint recognition sensor. To ensure that the Home button is not scratched or damaged please keep metal edges away from, such as those found on coins, keys and necklaces.

If your registered fingerprint(s) still aren't recognised then please click here for contact details for Samsung's customer support services for further assistance.
