If you thought Samsung would maintain the standard of excellence established with the S10, prepare for a colossal disappointment. The Tab S11 Ultra accessory isn't just an unnecessary "upgrade"; it is an insult to anyone seeking real productivity. While the S10 delivered a premium experience, the S11 feels like a low-cost prototype sold at a premium price.
1. Build and Typing: From Premium to "Plastique"
The Tab S10 keyboard offered satisfying tactile feedback, with keys that felt reassuringly solid and featured perfectly precise spacing. On the S11 Ultra, the sensation is like typing on a sponge.
• The Problem: The keys now have extremely shallow travel and inconsistent resistance.
• Comparison: On the S10, you felt a refined mechanical "click"; on the S11, the sound is hollow and the feel is one of fragility.
2. The Trackpad: Where Everything Falls Apart
The S10 trackpad was the pinnacle of the lineup—spacious, precise, and featuring gesture support that actually worked. The new model somehow managed to ruin this:
• Reduced Size: In a bizarre design choice, the touch area has shrunk—a baffling decision for an "Ultra" tablet.
• Latency: There is a noticeable delay in tracking that simply did not exist in the previous generation.
3. Connectivity and Ergonomics
The hinge and magnetic system on the S11 Ultra feel less stable. On the S10, the tablet remained anchored as if it were a single, solid unit. Now, any sudden movement causes the screen to wobble, making lap usage—one of the device's key promises regarding mobility—a frustrating and precarious experience.

Verdict: Stick with the S10
It is rare to see a company ruin a product that was already nearly perfect, but Samsung has managed to do just that.  The S11 Ultra's keyboard is a prime example of how poorly executed minimalism can ruin functionality. If you value your money—and your sanity while typing—stick with your S10 setup. The "new" version is, without a doubt, infinitely worse.
Note: If you have already purchased the S11 Ultra expecting the same typing quality, I strongly recommend checking the return policy before opening the box.

The Unforgivable Regression of the Galaxy Tab S11

I am a samsung fan boy and have been with samsung for over a decade, purchasing only their flagship devices, and i have to say with them not having a pro keyboard for the S11 Ultra is a total let down on launch. This slim keyboard that i am tryping the review on right now is complete garbage and i hate how cheap this feels compared to my pro keyboard i used on my S10 Ultra. I really hope they release one VERY SOON. I feel like 50% of my key strokes don't even register, back space barely works for me and i have to sit her and mess with it to delete a mistype because the keys just don't register like it should and not only that but just does not feel as smoothed as my pro keyboard did 100% of the time everytime that i used it. Side note i just purchased my S11 ultra several days ago because of the trade deal i get every year to upgrade, with that being said they should of already had a pro keyboard on the market to purchase, I am not going to buy from a 3rd party i like everything to be from the brand and if i am forking out the money to have a FLAGSHIP TABLET that cost the price of really good laptops, I DO NOT WANT TO SETTLE FOR A NON FLAGSHIP "PRO" KEYBOARD !. Just doesn't feel complete not being to have all the features that i got to have with my Pro Keyboard that i had with my S10 Ultra. Sorry for the rant this is honeslty the first time that i know of that have ever given Samsung a 1 star on a product that i have owned, especially when everything in our house as far as TV's , Phones, Tablets, applicances you name it we literally have the best that samsung has to offer and have never been disapointed till now

I see three major issues with this design compared with previous versions:
1. No pen holder. It's fine that it charges on the side, but having a place to store it within the case gives the user a bigger disadvantage: where to store it so it won't get lost.
2. You can only set the case in one angle, and it's not the best. Expect neck pain in an hour or so.
3. Half of the keyboard is behind the table, and the actual keys are in the other half, which makes it very small. If you don't want to use the keyboard and you want to fold it to the back, it won't work as a stand.

These are major design flaws, and keeping a slim design is not enough justification for it.

Not practical, bad design

The previous keyboard covers were great! There was a track pad, somewhere to store your pen, a backlight, adjustable angle for the tablet and you could remove the keyboard and still stand the tablet up if you want. You can't do any of that now! This is just plain unacceptable.

A step backward in every way!

I wonder how I can prevent my S Pen from getting lost with the keyboard cover. The keyboard cover for the S9 had a nice place to store the S Pen. While I'm at it, whose brilliant idea was it to choose white for the color of the S Pen?

Lost Pen

The update to the case is absolute garbage. The keys on the Tab S8 case used to be tactile. Now they are like mashing pudding. They also amazingly got rid of the pen storage area, Which no one asked them to do. I am thinking of returning my tab S11 and either keeping my tab S8 or getting a tab S10 FE because they both have much better keyboard cases.

It has a nice keyboard, a good fit for the tablet, is lightweight, and works well.
BUT WHERE DO I PUT THE PEN??? Such an unbelievable design oversight.
