The monitor had multiple issues and didn't even work for a week on a very light usage! Issues started with the thunderbolt cable not being detectable but I was able to use the HDMI Cable. A few days, the monitor stopped powering on. I reached out to Samsung customer support to get a replacement and spoke to 13 people from Samsung support already, bouncing between different people telling me that I cant get a replacement for the monitor even if it has been less than one month since I bought the monitor. Total waste of time and money, plus added frustration, and zero support

Purchased many Samsung monitors in the past without problems and Samsung products as well. Bought this monitor because of the Thunderbolt4 capability for my Mac. Previously sent in for service as the Thunderbolt display capability went out. Within a two weeks after receiving back, its out again and being sent back for repair. 1st experience with service was great and the shipping process seamless. My latest instance was not very efficient (i.e. asking me for all of my information, receipts, etc all over again). Using this for business use and major inconvenience. When working the image quality is great. Unfortunately it hasn't been broken more time than of use

its amazing how this spec still stands out today even better than the new viewfinity s8. its beautiful, rugged, and has all the bells and whistle for productivity.

a silent beast of a product

I bought two of these and it has been a disaster. These monitors have a flaw where each returns the same EDID UUID and Serial Number, which causes your display arrangement to change randomly when you reconnect or the MacBook wakes from sleep. Samsung support was absolutely worthless. If you are buying two identical monitors, DO NOT BUY THESE. (FYI, these issue did not occur with the LG Thunderbolt 3 monitors I replaced. It’s a design defect with the Samsung monitor that is causing the problem.)

Do not buy for dual-display setups!

I really want to like this monitor and when it works its great. But like others I have a consistent problem with Thunderbolt in a dual monitor configuration. After receiving a signal, one or both monitors will freeze up with the menu staying on the screen. The menu will not disappear and cannot actually be accessed. This means that the monitor cannot be powered off without unplugging it, which is the only way I have found to correct the problem. I might have to unplug the monitor 3-5 times in order to get it to work properly. Doing this every time I want to use my computer is a huge inconvenience and makes Thunderbolt more trouble than it is worth. You would think the problem could be fixed with a firmware update, but there is no update. I regret choosing this monitor and will not purchase another monitor from Samsung.

Looks nice but I regret buying

Have had for at least two months, extremely disappointed. Black unresponsive screen, constant black boxes on screen that can’t be controlled by computer and block mouse activity. Eye Saver, Register product etc. Bought this for compatibility with a new Mac Mini. After several bouts, with inactive monitor I’m convinced it’s monitor/connectivity issues.

The pros of this Samsung monitor - 4K resolution (it really looks great) and Thunderbolt connection - what I thought would be perfect for my Mac Studio. That is all, because:

I have had nothing but issues out of the box with the monitor screen freezing, the menus remaining fixed on the display with no way to make them disappear, outside of unplugging the monitor, because, in addition, the power and setting buttons absolutely do not work when either of these scenarios occur.  And it's not sometimes but nearly EVERY TIME I use my system - no exaggeration... EVERY SINGLE TIME.  

I contacted support who asked that I completely unplug the monitor from the wall for an extended about of time to "reset the monitor."  That seemed to resolve the issue for a few days before the same issues started all over again.  

Not at all happy with this purchase.  No firmware updates have been available since I purchased the monitor in June of 2023.  DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Very inconvenient issues, constantly!

Using the latest Mac Mini via USBC this monitor is unreliable, works at 1st but then becomes completely unresponsive after 4days of use. Only thing that gets it back is to unplug it and apply a hard restart the mac.
