The Samsung 27" ViewFinity s8 5K High Resolution monitor is exceptional and such a massive upgrade over my existing 1080p monitor. I work from home, and this monitor is absolutely perfect for displaying multiple windows at once with great clarity and resolution. Its honestly like getting a new pair of eyes compared to my last monitor.  I do a lot of coding and UX testing, and the 5K resolution really helps to see both UX and code on the same screen without the need for a second monitor. The colors pop and video playback is smooth and detailed. 
I could not be more happier with his monitor and I feel I have become more productive since using it.

Stunning image quality

I've really been enjoying my monitor for the last few weeks. I love how bright the screen can get and the vivid color Samsung always does great on this. The resolution is great for gaming and even watching movies on or editing pictures. I'm so happy with my buy. I'm always online an this just made it better. Highly recommend.

Love my new monitor!!

This monitor has been excellent for productivity. I like the sharpness of the monitor which makes it easier to read the text. One of the few 5K monitors available in the market right now. The multiple connectivity options provided below the Samsung logo on the front make it super easy to charge my devices while I use the monitor. The built-in KVM functionality helps me switch between my work and personal computer super easily and I can move my keyboard and mouse without having to reconnect them. Samsung display manager software helps configure all the needed features like Picture in Picture, display color etc. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for best all in one monitor mainly focusing on productivity.

Best monitor for productivity

This monitor is great for businesses and creators. It has 5k screen, display manager, usb-c and kvm switch. It has good colors with HDR. I like this monitor because I can use it for creation ability and multiple inputs. I been using the KVM for multiple PC's, it's easier to switch to different pc. Basically, I can connect keyboard, mouse, usb drive and ethernet to the monitor and it can connect to the pcs with a click of a button. 
I was using the 5K screen resolution for video editing. I have 4k footage I can edit and see full quality. 
Don't buy this monitor for gaming because it is only 60hz screen and 5ms. Also, it is only LCD if you care about that.

Great for Businesses and creators.

This Samsung monitor is an amazing upgrade to my workspace. I personally use my monitor for administrative work--lots of spreadsheets, web application use, and video calls. 

The design to the screen showed itself early on--putting it together out of the box was easy. It took me less than 5 minutes to get it out of the box and ready to use. There are little deisgn details everywhere that makes this monitor feel that much nicer. For me, those details are things like the cord spot to manage cord chaos and then the easy access ports. Even when the easy access ports are full, i just swivel the monitor to access the back ports. I also have a strong personal perference for a physical button, and this monitor fits the bill. Finally, I adjust the screen throughout using the monitor for things like video calls with my external webcam, which is a really easy thing to do.

On the techy side of things, i really like the 5k. It is such a great experience looking at a beautiful screen. Since looking at the screen is the whole point of the monitor, I am personally pleased with the eye saver mode. I feel like I notice a difference when I turn that mode on. Finally, a feature that I've used more and enjoyed more than expected is the KVM switch. It's been a fantastic addition that makes it easy for me to switch between my work computer and personal computer. 

The only drawback is i wish I could charge my phone with the usbc port without the screen being on. It's not a huge deal, but I do with there were a way to leave my phone at my desk to charge using my monitor.

I am absolutely happy wiht this monitor and highly recommend it if you're staring at a screen all day.

Amazing User Experience

The ViewFinity S8 monitor has been an excellent choice so far. With its impressive 5k 27-inch screen, it’s a powerhouse for productivity. I use it daily for work, and it’s a significant upgrade from the 24-inch 1080p monitors provided by my job. For reference, this monitor boasts a whopping 218 PPI compared to the 92 PPI of my previous monitor. Text is exceptionally sharp and easy to read, regardless of the distance I sit from the screen. I can work through spreadsheets, code, and watch videos much better than before.

For my use case, I connect either my work laptop or Mac mini directly to the monitor via the USB-C port. This is incredibly convenient, especially since it charges my laptop and allows me to connect peripherals like a webcam, keyboard, mouse, microphone, headphones, and more directly to the monitor. This eliminates the need to reconnect my accessories when switching between devices. Despite the convenience, I still prefer having two monitors, so I often use it daisy-chained as my secondary monitor (the first monitor has a USB-C in and a USB-C out port). Windows occasionally encounters some issues with this setup, but I’ve found it easy to resolve by cycling through “USB-C Preference” in the settings menu.

Unfortunately, the ViewFinity’s productivity and media consumption capabilities are where its benefits end. The screen’s resolution is unfortunately limited to 60Hz, making it unsuitable for high-end gaming. However, 1440p scaling with 5k is excellent, so running games at that resolution is a great experience. If you don’t need a USB-C port and gaming is a must, the Odyssey G8 offers a 5K display but at a higher refresh rate of 180Hz.

Lastly, the build quality of the ViewFinity is somewhat disappointing. It’s predominantly made of plastic and has a noticeable amount of flex. The ports also shift slightly when plugged in with cables or peripherals. While this may be a minor inconvenience, it’s a worthwhile tradeoff if the monitor is priced accordingly. I also appreciate that it features height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot functionality. This allows me to position the monitor vertically or horizontally depending on the task at hand.

Overall, I highly recommend this monitor to anyone seeking an excellent productivity monitor.

Great for productivity

I use this monitor mostly for work and browsing. The High resolution 5k display has been amazing for reading/watching videos. Text is very sharp when compared to my old QHD monitor. I code using VS Code and also write some docs using google docs, the text clarity has been absolutely amazing after i switched to this monitor where as with my old monitor, the text was blurry and pixelated.

This monitor also packs features like Eye Saver mode which adjusts the monitor color to make easier on the eyes. I installed Samsung Display Manager app which helped me customize the monitor to suit my needs. The display manager app allows to set per app custom color profiles, Picture in picture and various other monitor adjustments can be done through that. 

The USB C 90w port helps me charge my macbook and run the display all through one single cable. There are also usb type C and type A ports under the display to charge other devices easily. Will definitely recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a high resolution productivity monitor with great picture quality.

Elegant monitor for productivity

Sometimes you don't realize what you are missing until you see it. 
I bought this Samsung to replace my old 27” monitor, and the difference with my photos is unbelievable. 
The 5K resolution is really sharp—all the small details in my images that used to look a bit blurry on my old monitor completely pop now with colors that bring the memories alive . Just reading small text across the desktop is much easier. If you do any photo editing like me, or just care about a clean, sharp picture, the pixel density on this monitor is worth every penny.

The clarity on this 27-inch Samsung ViewFinity S8 5K monitor is absolutely unreal. The 5K Resolution makes text look razor-sharp and fine details pop, which makes reading documents, coding, and managing complex layouts so much easier on the eyes.
The Color Accuracy and Contrast are vibrant and natural out of the box, with solid HDR10 support that brings deep contrast and rich hues to everyday content. I also love that it includes Eye Saver Mode—it completely eliminates screen Flicker and blue light fatigue during long workdays.
Connectivity is top-tier: the single 90W USB-C port charges my laptop and feeds display data simultaneously, while the built-in Ethernet and KVM switch keep my desk completely clutter-free. The height, tilt, and pivot adjustments are smooth, making it easy to find an ergonomic setup. It’s easily one of the best productivity monitors I’ve ever used.
