SAMSUNG Introduces Trend-Breaking Flat-Screen, Analog TV Line

DynaFlat Line Expands With Analog Sets Featuring All Black Cabinets
Ridgefield Park, NJ-Samsung Electronics America (SEA), a world leader in flat glass tube production for TVs and computer monitors, expands its advanced DynaFlat line with a new series of flat-screen, analog TVs. Samsung's DynaFlat models rank amongst the best CRT displays available today in terms of clarity, brightness, image quality and viewing experience. With the new series, Samsung leads the pack for flat screens sizes with four new DVD-ready models, the 14"" (TXL1491F), the 20"" (TXL2091F), the 27"" (TXL2791F); and the 20"" DVD Combo (CSL2097DV). All sets are introduced at competitive price points and feature a trend breaking all-black cabinet. The new flat-screen, analog line can be seen at booth LL11 at CEDIA, September 7-9, 2001, in Indianapolis.

Samsung's DynaFlat TV's overcome the shortcomings of traditional curved screens, significantly reducing reflections and glare, and completely eliminating the distortion you see around the perimeter of a curved screen. The unique all black cabinets offer a sophisticated look for consumers.

""Samsung is breaking new ground,"" said John Lavoie, Marketing Manager for Samsung's Visual Media Group. ""We're keeping our promise to the consumer to introduce quality products that fit their needs. In addition to our full lineup of HD DynaFlat products, these DVD-ready, all-black, flat-screen sets are the cutting edge in analog TV. With compact sizes ranging from 14"" to 27"" even those with limited space can enjoy a great flat-screen television image that is also DVD ready.""

Samsung's 14"" TXL1491F offers a sleek look, but the sound completes the picture. The audio opens up through the side stereo speakers and the turbo button boosts the bass for an extra kick. Front and rear A/V inputs offer connectivity for games and DVD players. The TXL1491F is available now at $249.99 (MSRP).

The 20"" TXL2091F and the 27"" TXL2791F add key visual enhancements such as a 3-line digital comb filter that sharpens the color contrast and Y/Pb/Pr connections for DVD players that ensure outstanding picture quality. An S-Video input accommodates Super VHS playback and satellite set-top boxes hookups. Front and rear A/V inputs offer additional options for video and audio sources. A universal remote and tri-lingual on screen menu display complete the package. The TXL2091F is currently available at $359.99 (MSRP) and the TXL2791F is $549.99 (MSRP).

Featuring a 20"" flat-screen, analog TV set combined with a DVD/CD player, Samsung's CSL2097DV is the pinnacle of convergence and convenience. Bringing together the best of DynaFlat TV technology with Samsung's prized DVD technology, this 20"" DVD combo features convenient top control, virtual Dolby surround sound, an advanced speaker system and a full compliment of DVD controls. The CSL2097DV will be available this month at $499.99 (MSRP). - 2 - - 3 - - more - - more -
