SAMSUNG’S New Portable Audio/Photo File Player Puts The “Multi” In Multimedia And Multi-Format

Las Vegas, NV - Global technology innovator Samsung Electronics America, Inc., announces the newest addition to its award-winning digital portable audio family, the YH-925 Audio/Photo File Player. Already a CES 2005 Innovations Award Honoree, the pocket-sized YH-925 is a sleek companion that lets users to listen to and download their favorite digital music as well as photos and album cover art. Experience the YH-925 Audio/Photo File Player at CES 2005 in the Samsung booth, #11024 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6th - 9th.

Featuring a super sharp 260K Color TFT LCD and a 20GB capacity, the YH-925 is sure to be a top choice for true multimedia file storage and portability. The high-quality screen is perfect for viewing JPEG picture files. The YH-925 is also designed to take advantage of the upsurge in demand for subscription-based music download services. The device supports MP3, WMA, Ogg, and is compatible with Secure WMA and Janus DRMs. Users can choose their preferred format, and download all of their favorite songs from a variety of online music providers.

The YH-925 offers plenty of powerful features for audiophiles in addition to its expanded multimedia capabilities. Even the most fanatical music lover will be satisfied by the player's 20GB 1.8" HDD, which offers enough storage to encompass more than 300 hours of MP3 or more than 600 hours of WMA files (over 5000 MP3 or 10,000 WMA songs). Superior sound and a user-friendly GUI keep the tunes flowing smoothly.

A host of other features enhance the user experience, including a built-in recorder that captures songs in MP3 format. The YH-925 also acts as a USB host, possessing the ability to connect with USB OTG-compatible digital devices to perform file-sharing functions without the aid of a PC.

The new Audio/Photo File Player carries on the Samsung tradition of elegant, lightweight design. Measuring an ultra-slim 61.5 x 106.8 x 16.6mm and coming in at a featherweight 7 ounces, the device offers the ultimate in convenient portability. Its immense storage capacity ensures that consumers can keep their multimedia files on hand for unlimited entertainment, no matter where the road takes them.

The YH-925 comes with its own carrying case, rechargeable Li-Poly battery and earphones.

The YH-925 Audio/Photo File Player will be available in January 2005 with an MSRP of $299.99.
