SAMSUNG Broadens The Color Laser Spectrum With Innovative And Affordable New Printer and Multifunction

Las Vegas, NV - Samsung Electronics America, Inc., the world's second-largest laser engine manufacturer, introduces one of the quietest and most economical color laser printers in its class, the innovative and robust CLP-510 series. Recognizing the market has changed, and that color laser printing has become more attractive than ever in terms of quality, speed and cost, Samsung has designed the breakthrough CLP-510 series. The new printers meet the color imaging needs of small and medium-sized businesses and offer a host of industry-leading features one doesn't find on comparable units such as built-in automatic duplexing for error free two-sided printing and optional wireless capabilities. The NO NOIS static engine, designed by Samsung, ensures quiet and reliable operation with the added benefit of ease of use that is truly unique in this product category. The network-ready version is perfect for use in corporate workgroup environments. The highly anticipated CLP-510 series will be on display during CES 2005 at the Samsung booth, #11024, in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6th-9th.
"The CLP-510 series is a result of an extensive research and development effort to ensure that Samsung's new wave of color laser printers surpasses even our award-winning models in terms of making innovation and advanced technologies available at an affordable price." said Chanel O'Connor, Senior Product Manager, Samsung's Information Technology Division (ITD)
With its automatic duplexing capabilities, the CLP-510 series can ramp up a business's sales efforts by producing striking, two-sided marketing materials at a fraction of professional printing costs. Likewise, financial institutions can generate easy to read spreadsheets and color-coded financial documents to highlight specific gains and losses.
The CLP-510 series offers an extremely competitive up to six-page-per-minute (ppm) color print speed and rapid 25-ppm rate (up to) for black and white documents. The whisper quiet NO NOIS Static Engine incorporates fewer moving parts for increased reliability and minimal disruption. A robust standard memory of 64MB (expandable to 192MB) is also included to further ensure the efficient generation of color-rich graphics and razor-sharp text.
With its automatic duplexing, network connectivity and wireless capabilities, the CLP-510 series are powerful tools that satisfy small and medium sized businesses document imaging needs and adds a rainbow of color printing possibilities. The CLP-510N is network-ready with internal Ethernet 10/100 Base TX.
In the interest of maximum efficiency, the printer carries two types of toners for heavy and light users: 7k/3k for monochrome and 5k/2k for color. Can it handle paper for a busy office? Yes; it offers a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet document feeder as well as an optional second 500-sheet cassette. Its cassette-based design and alternate bypass feeder equips the CLP-510 series to manage a full-range of paper types and sizes including envelopes, card stock, labels and transparencies, as well as 3" x 5" index cards.
The CLP-510 series features high-speed USB 2.0 interface. It is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and a wide distribution of Linux operating systems.
