High School Graduate Internship for Aspiring Technicians

During this ten-week internship, you’ll be given the eye-opening experience of what it’s like to have a career in the semiconductor industry as a technician. After completing a two week orientation, you’ll be assigned a department and mentor that will give you the knowledge and experience to determine if becoming a technician is the right career for you. At the end of your internship, we will host a final showcase event, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your accomplishments and hear about the exciting work of your peers. Then, a select few are invited to transition into our Fab Apprentice Program (more below). To qualify for the internship, you must live within the ACC taxing district, be 18 years of age and graduate high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Fab Apprentice Program

After completing the internship above, a select few will transition to our Fab Apprentice Program, giving you the opportunity to work two days a week at SAS while completing your Associate’s Degree at ACC. As long as you maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, SAS will pay for 100% of your tuition and books. Once you graduate, you will be eligible to apply for a full time position as a technician at SAS.


College Internship for Aspiring Engineers

Explore career opportunities and work with revolutionary technology in beautiful Austin, Texas. Our competitive university program places you in an engaging and fast-paced environment to give you the skills you need to thrive. During the three-month internship program, we’ll get to know your interests and assign you to a business unit that aligns with your personal and professional goals. Orientation and training sessions are tailored to you, giving you a complete view of our business and culture. We also provide regular opportunities to socialize with fellow interns and participate in a variety of company events. At the end of your internship, we host a showcase event where you’ll share your accomplishments and hear about the exciting work of your peers. A select amount of interns are then invited to the CORP program (more below). To qualify for this internship program, you must be a student who is currently pursuing a college degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The next round of internships opens March 1, 2019.

Our College Orientation Recruitment Program

After completing the internship program above, a select few are chosen to advance to our College Orientation Recruitment Program (CORP). This multi-week, comprehensive orientation and technical training program gives new engineers an overview of the company’s processes and operations, knowledge of our semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing principles, networking opportunities, and exposure to working in a large organization. Chosen CORP participants are hired as full-time employees after completing our internship program. However, we occasionally open CORP to college graduates who did not serve as interns.
