Blowing Away Alkali
SUNBURST JR. HIGH • Montana
Sunburst Jr. High’s project will focus on using STEM to learn and apply the scientific process, technology, engineering, and mathematical skills to assist in researching, identifying and then applying solutions for remediating the alkali crisis that has tragically impacted their community. Students will look to remediate the very troubling and dangerous issue of blowing alkali across the local interstate highway. The students would like to identify and recommend solutions as well as provide education that will lead to a safer community for those living in the area and those traveling through the area.
