Safety is and will remain the most critical challenge for making automated driving a realty. Jan Radke from TTTech discusses how the automotive industry defines safety and why building functional safe systems is as critical as it is challenging. Radke provides an analysis of a fatal automated driving incident and discusses improvements from a safety point of view, that could have helped to avoid the tragic event. In the final part he provides a glimpse into the future of automotive in-vehicle architectures that Samsung and TTTech are working on.

Jan Radke, Cooperation Manager at TTTech Auto AG
After his master studies at the Technical University as well as the University for Economics in Vienna, Jan joined TTTech in 2012 and worked in corporate business development helping to define the industrial business unit strategy. He then assumed a position as Alliances & Product Marketing Manager for the Aerospace business with the focus of growing strategic partnerships and technological solution marketing. Since 2016 he is working as the Cooperation Manager for TTTech Auto AG responsible for business development and operation management for global accounts like Samsung.
