Using the Level Gauge on Your NX Series Cameras
The Samsung NX series cameras have a horizontal and vertical level that can be used to help you be sure your camera is level before taking a photo. In Auto mode, the camera automatically chooses settings for you, but once you switch into Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter, Manual or Smart mode, you can configure the settings so that a level appears at the bottom of the screen.
How to Turn on the Level Gauge
In Shooting mode (ready to take a photo), turn your camera mode dial to P, A, S, M, SAS (on some models), or AUTO.
Press the DISP button to cycle through on-screen options until the level gauge appears at the bottom of the screen.
You are now ready to level your photo-taking with the gauge. When the camera is not level, the horizontal or vertical bars on the gauge will be red or yellow. When level, they will be green.
How to Calibrate the Level Gauge
In Shooting or Playback mode, press the MENU button.
On the touchscreen, choose the Settings > Display Adjust > Horizontal Calibration.
Set the camera on a level surface or hold it perfectly level and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be directed to press the OK button once the camera is level. The camera will take a minute to calibrate.
Your camera calibration is completed.
