Inserting and Removing the MicroSD Card for Your Galaxy Tab S 8.4

Your device lets you use a microSD or microSDHC card to expand memory space. This secure digital card lets you exchange pictures, music, and data with microSD compatible devices.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Inserting a MicroSD Card

  1. Locate and open the microSD card cover on the side of your device.

  2. Insert the microSD card into the slot until it locks into place.   

  3. Close the microSD card cover.   

Removing a MicroSD Card

You must unmount the microSD card before removing it.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.   

  2. Touch Settings.   

  3. Touch Storage.   

    It may be necessary to touch the GENERAL tab and then touch Storage.

  4. Touch Unmount SD card.

  5. Touch OK to finish unmounting the card.   

  6. Open the microSD card cover on the side of your device.   

  7. Gently press on the microSD card to release it, and then carefully remove it from your device.
