Taking Screenshots on Your Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

You can capture screenshots on your device using device keys. Screenshots will be copied to the clipboard and saved to the Screenshots folder in the Gallery.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Capture Screenshots

You can capture a screenshot by simultaneously pressing Home and Power/Lock on your device until the captured image contracts and flies off-screen.

View a Screenshot

To view a screenshot immediately after you capture it:

  1. Open the Notification Panel by swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom.

  2. Touch Screenshot captured to open the screenshot.

  3. You can also quickly SHARE, EDIT, or DELETE the screenshot from the Notification Panel.

    You may need to touch the notification and swipe down to view these options.

    

To view your screenshots at any time:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Gallery.

  3. If necessary, select Albums from the drop-down menu in the top-left corner.

  4. Open the Screenshots album.

  5. Touch the desired screenshot.

Share a Screenshot

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Gallery.

  3. If necessary, select Albums from the drop-down menu in the top-left corner.

  4. Open the Screenshots album.

  5. Touch the desired screenshot.

  6. Touch Share.

  7. Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Options may vary depending on the apps installed and features turned on.

Screenshot Options

  1. In the Screenshots album, touch the desired screenshot.

  2. When viewing the screenshot, the following options are available:

    The options disappear after 1–2 seconds; touch the screen to display them again.

    • Share: Share or print the screenshot using one of the available options. Options may vary depending on the apps installed and features turned on.

    • Edit: Crop or edit the screenshot in Photo Editor.

    • Delete: Delete the screenshot.

    • CAMERA: Open the Camera app.

  3. Touch MORE for the following options:

    You may need to touch More options for some wireless service providers.

    • Edit: Edit the screenshot in Photo Editor.

    • Crop: Save a portion of the screenshot.

    • Rename: Give the screenshot a new name.

    • Slideshow: Start a slideshow of the screenshots in the folder.

    • Set as: Use the screenshot as the picture for one of your contacts, Home screen, lock screen, or both Home and lock screens.

    • Details: View and edit technical information about the screenshot, such as its size, date, and location.

    • Print: Print the screenshot.
